| Our local church is St John the Baptist in Staveley, and as a school we visit the church for Harvest, Christingle, Easter and for the Leaver's Service each year. |

St John the Baptist Church
The School has a close relationship with St John the Baptist Church in Staveley and regularly welcomes Father Adrian Arnold into school.
Father Adrian leads Mass in school each term, and supports classes to deliver the service.
Woodthorpe supports children that want to attend Church on a Sunday each half term. These dates are circulated via the school newsletter.

The Crackpot Company The Crackpot team come into school regularly and deliver fun and interactive assemblies that promote Christianity and teach children about stories and events in the Bible. The children love to join in with the songs and actions and really enjoy the show that the Crackpot actors put on.
